LaVon is your neighbor and your current State Representative for Florida House District 40. She lives in the historic city of Ocoee, Florida with her husband Pastor Adrian R. Davis.  She and her family have been champions for this community for 40+ years. She is the sister of Former Senator Randolph Bracy, one who has fought fearlessly for this area in Tallahassee for over 10 years. Her mother, LaVon Wright Bracy is a civil rights trailblazer, a three-time elected Presidential delegate for the National Democratic Convention, and author of “A Brave Little Cookie” an autobiographical children’s book on her experience integrating her Gainesville, Florida high school during the Civil Rights Era. Her father is a community leader, founding pastor of New Covenant Baptist Church of Orlando, and past president of the Orange County Branch of the NAACP.

LaVon Bracy Davis is an advocate and community leader from West Orange County. She attended Dr. Phillips High School and was an active part of the visual and performing arts magnet program. Her love for the arts led her to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Arts from Howard University. Her love for service led her to pursue her Juris Doctor from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, College of Law. She is a licensed and barred attorney and previously worked as a Senior Attorney for the Department of Children and Families.

Her passion for serving and for the arts merged and empowered her to work for 15+ years as an arts and culture advocate in the Central Florida area. With that same passion she brought to being an advocate and freedom fighter, she took to Tallahassee to fight for the rights of the sidelined, disenfranchised, and forgotten. She currently serves as State Representative for Florida House District 40. She also serves on the Florida Culture of Arts and Culture and the National Association of State Arts Agencies. Through her leadership, she generated record-breaking revenue for arts and culture in Orlando, Florida, and most importantly contributed to the cultural, artistic, and economic impact of Central Florida. She has been helping businesses thrive for the last 10 years and is actively doing that in the State's Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida.
